Wago releases three-phase Pro Power Supplies

Wednesday, Mar 03, 2010

Wago's 787 Pro Power Supplies process peaks in systems with high-output requirements.

Pro Power Supplies feature free monitoring and configuration software; Powerboost and Topboost functions; Line Monitor capability; and 93 per cent efficiency.

The six-model line of three-phase power supplies offers: a wide-input voltage range; DC 24V output; and 10, 20 or 40A rated nominal output (depending on model).

In short-circuit conditions, Topboost provides 60A of additional 50ms reserve for tripping of miniature circuit breakers.

Powerboost offers up to 200 per cent of rated current for up to four seconds to assist power-up of heavy loads (for example motors or heavy loads).

All models include constant-current mode: in an overload following Powerboost, output current is typically limited to 110 per cent of rated current with a simultaneously lowered output voltage.

Select models provide adjustable output-voltage characteristics: a time-limited constant current and permanently reduced current (for example fuse mode or mixed mode).

Line Monitor (select models) incorporates an LCD/key pad and RS232 interface with free software for monitoring and configuration of signal outputs and overcurrent behaviour.

Monitoring from the LCD and software via RS232 interface eliminates the need for components such as volt/amp meters, phase-monitoring devices and operational hour meters.

On-unit LEDs indicate errors; an optional LCD screen provides current, voltage output and line-monitoring information.

On select models, four active signal outputs may be utilised for function monitoring and data transfer to higher-level systems.

All units employ pluggable Cage Clamp electrical connectors for fast, easy and maintenance-free terminations.

Pro Power Supplies carry UL508 and UL60950 and utilise a rugged metal housing that may be DIN-rail mounted horizontally or vertically.
