Verisae Partners With Schneider Electric On Demand Response

Wednesday, Sep 01, 2010

Verisae has partnered with Schneider Electric to offer a demand-response (DR) product to commercial and industrial customers, thereby creating "virtual power plants" for utilities.

Schneider Electric will serve as the energy-management solution provider, linking together an offering called Demand Response 2.0. The offering is designed to manage traditional load-shedding, as well as enable real-time dynamic utility pricing. Verisae will provide the utility and customer-facing DR services, while Schneider Electric will market and manage the offer on behalf of its utility and end-user customers.

"This dynamic pricing solution allows companies to have better control of their energy costs," says Greg Effertz, chief operating officer for Verisae. "It also enables utilities to innovate with new tariff structures and maximize resource generation."
