Schneider Electric to supply gear, services to two 10MW solar power plants in China

Schneider Electric will provide a variety of photovoltaics system elements to China Guangdong Nuclear Solar Energy Development for a pair of projects being built in China, a 10MWp grid-tied installation in Dunhuang and another 10MWp power station in Qinghai Xitieshan.

Outdoor lightning convergence boxes, Xantrex inverters, low-voltage power distribution equipment, and tailored local services will be supplied.

Financial terms of the deal, which marks Schneider's first major PV orders in China, were not announced.

“Schneider Electric has paid great attention in offering the turnkey solution for strategic customers, especially customers of new energies and is willing to grow together with customers,” said Wang Guowei, solution business director, Schneider Electric. “In the future, we will keep on meeting the demands of customers and providing tailor-made scientific, add-value, and forward-looking solutions to customers.”
